Our Story and Experience With Arthritis
Julie and Maraika - Two people who share a common bond. Both suffering the painful degenerative disease of Arthritis and both having been able to find relief from the symptoms by using the same natural treatment to give back the quality of life they once enjoyed. We share our stories here so that others may benefit.

Arthritis is like owning an automobile. You have a vehicle which has a make, model, color, and year. And so there are many different kinds of Arthritis. Yet some can be the same kind but worse than others. We are all individual so each kind takes on its own personality. Many of you may have had it for years and are now maybe thinking that there is no hope left. Understanding the basics and trying to live with this disease that, with proper care, can be as pain free and comfortable as possible for the rest of our lives is what we are all about.
Julie has been living with this condition for the past few years, and at first each year appeared to get worse. Creams, heat pads, medications, you name it she tried them all. Nothing worked. Doctors would send her home each time with something else yet again but often the side effects were worse than the pain itself, so that now she had two things to worry about.
Just like you are doing now she began to do her own research. Why was this happening, who could she ask, what could she ask, and where could she get advice. After seeing so many other people in her life far worse than herself, something had to be done now while at the beginning stage of this disease. Julie read books, asked many Doctors and did everything she could do to get information from reliable sources.
As a piano player, and her grandchildren now getting to the age where they wanted Grandma’s attention she became more proactive about her health in many ways.
Julie works with the mentally and physically disabled and has taken many courses on a variety of subjects to become more proficient in their care. Several of the clients are quite elderly and need special care. Julie remembers one lady in particular who got some extra pampering because she suffered badly from arthritis in her knees and hips. This lady never really complained but always said, ‘just give me my wheel chair’. This was not a good habit to encourage as it soon became a habit. Julie did do the exercises with her, got her to change positions often and move into another chair, and to walk short distances with her holding her hands. It was a shame to see that after having to move this client to a home for the elderly she was unable to receive get that special care, and in a short time was so crippled that she can barely move. Wheel chair bound!! What a way to live out her life.
Exercising does help and we have to keep moving – “slow and easy does it” as they say. Every time a little more, first 5 steps, then 10 if you find you can do more.
After all the research Julie has done about Arthritis, she looks forward to having the opportunity to share her experience and knowledge with everyone. If it will help just one person that is what makes her happy.
Sharing information and helping others is what she likes to do and will continue to do so especially on a one-to-one basis.

Can you relate to Painful joints in your fingers and hands?
Were you ever told that it is just another part of aging and that you will just have to “learn to live with it”?
As I started to experience pain and inflammation in joints of my fingers, hands and knees this was the advice given to me. My fingers had slowly become very swollen and with extremely painful joints. Especially so if you bumped them which tends to happen a lot if you have pain there already. Every hard surface or object seemed to be a magnet for my sore hands. I was unable to hold a pen or even a piece of paper. Opening jars or removing bottle tops was a problem as my fingers would just not bend.
I just “put up with it” most of the time. And once you put up with it often enough they say you can learn to live with it. I considered myself to lead a fairly healthy lifestyle but with this complaint I always seemed to spend a lot of time at the Doctors.
I was loath to go onto medications as they themselves can present complications but none of the natural remedies I had tried, and I tried most of them, seemed to be effective. I was then studying with a Naturopath so thought I had some insight into what should have given me some relief to my painful and swollen joints. But nothing seemed to make any difference. No potions, creams, pills, herbal remedies, or teas.
Then when looking for an answer for another totally different health issue, my son had heard of the success that some doctors were having treating their patients with high potency quality anti-oxidants and nutritional supplements and he insisted that seeing nothing else had worked for me, to give these products a try. I figured I had nothing to lose. So I did.
Nothing much changed at first but then 4 months later I felt great, had heaps of energy and as a side bonus the pain in my fingers had lessened to such an extend that I often forgot that I had it in the first place. My joints are still slightly swollen but I am able to bend my fingers and writing is no problem and the only pain I get is if I bump my knuckle joints. I know now that to remove the inflammation is to remove the pain.
I have since that time done some extensive studies and completed qualified courses which incorporated learning about the success these nutritional supplements can provide, not just to our overall health and other health issues but particularly with Arthritis and the relief of Joint Pain.
